GoGetSpace V2

Rebuilding GoGetSpace: a website that starts with a conversation

Why GoGetSpace V2 shows people a real homepage before they sign up, and how the AI behind it stays honest, safe and affordable.

GoGetSpace has hosted websites for businesses since 2008. For most small businesses, the hard part isn't the hosting. It's everything before it: choosing a template, writing the words, finding photos, and knowing what a good page even looks like for their kind of business.

GoGetSpace V2 is a clean rebuild that starts there. You describe your business in a conversation, and before you've created an account you're looking at a real homepage made for you.

Show first, sign up later

The guest builder asks one question: what would you like to create? You answer in your own words. Gio, the AI website manager, asks only for what's missing, does a quick check on your industry, and then builds one homepage, with a design and an original photo made for your business.

You can refine it in conversation for as long as it's useful, within limits that keep the cost reasonable. Only when you want to keep it do you sign up, and signing up simply claims the draft you already have. There's no hidden subscription.

AI that keeps its promises

A website builder that makes things up is worse than none. So Gio follows a few rules:

  • Research uses public context only. Gio never sends a customer's contact details or private facts to research, and it records the source of every claim it relies on.
  • Nothing goes live without approval. Every page is reviewed before publishing, and publishing is always an explicit choice.
  • Costs are visible. Each AI request is routed to the cheapest model that can handle it. What it actually cost is recorded, and kept separate from the credits a customer sees.

A worker, not a browser tab

Building a website takes time, and nobody wants a half-built site because they closed a tab. In V2, clicking Build saves a durable request. A separate worker picks it up, turns the AI's constrained source into a site in a sandbox, and keeps going even if the API restarts.

Everything after the homepage

Once someone signs up, they choose a package for that website, and the full site is generated: eight focused pages to start, saved as private versions. From there they can edit with Gio or directly, add forms, manage photos, check SEO and accessibility, and connect a domain, whether it's a new one, one they already own, or a GoGetSpace subdomain. DNS and SSL are checked before anything goes live.

Behind the scenes, staff get their own app with multi-factor sign-in, a full view of each customer, and an audit trail of every sensitive action.

Built in slices

I make the product decisions and an AI coding agent writes the code. Every feature lands as a complete, tested slice, from the screen down to the database, and every significant decision is written up as an architecture record. There are 80 of them so far. The rebuild started on 26 September 2026 and has run on a staging site since early October.

Next comes a commercial pilot, and after that GoGetSpace Cloud: self-service cloud infrastructure on the same account.
